Multilingual website launched to attract more tourists to Tokyo's countryside and islands
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has launched a multilingual website to publicize the diverse attractions of Tokyo's Tama area and islands to people overseas, mainly targeting five Asian regions from which many tourists, including many repeat visitors, come to Japan. This is part of the TMG effort to boost PR activities through various channels to attract more foreign travelers to the countryside of Tokyo as we approach 2020.
