Governor Inspects NYC Subways
平成25（2013）年4月15日（月曜）、猪瀬知事は、MTA（ニューヨーク都市交通公社）を訪問し、ニューヨークの地下鉄の実情を視察しました。知事は記者からの質問に対して「ニューヨークは、1940年頃地下鉄の一元化を行ってからも、お客様が便利になるような工夫をしてきており、学ぶことが多い。東京でも、都営とメトロを一元化するには、やはりお客様が本当に助かると思えるような、お客様目線に立った地下鉄経営をしなくてはいけない」と応えました。
On Monday, April 15, Governor Inose visited New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to inspect New York’s subway system. In response to questions from the press, the governor said, “Even after the subway systems were merged around 1940, they have continued to strive to enhance customer convenience, and there is much we can learn from them. Tokyo must also manage its subway system from a customer perspective, and merging the Toei Subway and Tokyo Metro systems should be done in a way that really benefits the customers."
