Governor Inose inspects the Astoria Repowering Project
平成25（2013）年4月17日（水曜）、猪瀬知事は、老朽化した発電機を最新式のガス火力コンバインド・サイクル・ユニットに更新する、アストリア・リパワリング・プロジェクトを視察しました。
知事は記者の質問に対し、「ニューヨークでは、元々独占的な電力会社が持っていたものを、独立系電力会社が購入して新しいビジネスにしていこうとした。モデルの一つとしては面白いと思う。とにかく現場を見て、眼で確認することが大事。改革を進めていく一つの根拠や材料にしていく。」と答えました。
On Wednesday, April 17, Governor Inose inspected the Astoria Repowering Project, which will replace the existing aging units used to generate power in Astoria with new state-of-the-art combined cycle units.
Governor Inose responded to questions from the media, saying, “In New York, several independent power companies purchased facilities that were originally held by a monopoly, and have created new businesses. As one business model, I think the concept is very interesting. Anyway, it is essential that we go to the actual site and see for ourselves. In moving forward with reform in Tokyo, I will use what I learn here as one example to be considered.”
