Governor Inose departs for SportAccord International Convention in St. Petersburg, Russia
平成25（2013）年5月28日（火曜）、猪瀬知事は、航空機の整備の都合で予定より約8時間の遅れになりましたが、羽田空港からロシア・サンクトペテルブルク市へと出発しました。
今回の出張で知事は、同市で開催されるスポーツアコード会議に出席し、2020年オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会の東京招致に向けて、プレゼンテーションや記者会見を実施します。同会議は、国際競技連盟及びスポーツ関係団体が一堂に会するスポーツの国際会議であり、IOC委員も多く出席します。この機会を捉え、世界に向けて東京の都市力、計画の優位性を訴える予定です。
出発に先立って、知事は、羽田空港で「東京の素晴らしさ、運営能力、8キロ圏内に85％の施設があるという我々にとって当たり前のことをきちんと説明する必要があると思います。そして、ホスピタリティ、治安の良さは東京がもっている大きな魅力の一つでもあります。皆さんが親切なんです。設備の準備だけでなく、心の準備もできています。そして、もちろんスポーツに対する強い気持ち、熱い思いがあることも伝えます」と記者団に意気込みを語りました。
On Tuesday, May 28, Governor Inose departed Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport for St. Petersburg, Russia.
During this official trip, the governor will attend the SportAccord International Convention where he will promote Tokyo’s bid for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games by giving a formal presentation to members and holding a press conference. The SportAccord International Convention brings together international sports federations, sport-related organizations, and prominent members from the world of sports to meet. Seizing upon this opportunity, the governor plans to show the world the strengths of Tokyo as a city and its plan to host the Games.
At Haneda Airport, Governor Inose commented, “At the SportAccord Convention, I hope to convey to everyone the unique, compact nature of our venue plan, which consolidates most venues and facilities into an eight kilometer radius, the spirit of hospitality of the people – one of Tokyo’s most attractive points, and our passion for sports.”
