平成25年6月26日更新IOC評価委員会報告書の発表に関する記者会見
Press conference following the release of the IOC 2020 Evaluation Commission Report
平成25（2013）年6月25日（火曜）IOC（国際オリンピック委員会）評価委員会は、2020年オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会の立候補都市に関する評価報告書を発表しました。発表を受けて東京2020オリンピック・パラリンピック招致委員会は都庁で記者会見を行いました。
会見のなかで猪瀬知事は、「今回の東京の評価について、率直な感想ですが、全般的に高い評価が与えられており、非常にうれしく感じております。これまでの努力が着実に実ってきつつあると思っています。報告書では随所に東京の万全な開催能力への言及があります。迅速かつ信頼性の高い輸送システム、質・量ともに充実した宿泊施設、大会開催準備金に象徴される磐石な財政基盤、セキュリティ体制の良さなど、こういったことが非常に高く評価されております。」と話し、2020オリンピック・パラリンピック招致への手応えと、引き続き全力で招致活動に取り組む決意を明らかにしました。
On Tuesday, June 25, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Evaluation Commission released its report on the three candidate cities for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Upon review of the report, the Tokyo 2020 Bid Committee held a press conference at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
During the press conference, Governor Inose commented, “With respect to this evaluation of Tokyo, frankly speaking, I am very pleased that we were given high marks overall by the commission. I think that our efforts to date are steadily coming to bear fruit. Throughout the report there is mention of Tokyo’s solid ability to host the Games. Tokyo’s fast and highly reliable transportation system, accommodations that are rich in both quantity and quality, the rock-solid financial base symbolized by the ‘Hosting Reserve Fund,’ the quality of our security system - these were some of the points that were very highly rated,” expressing a renewed commitment to the bid efforts.
