Official rehearsal for the IOC technical briefing
平成25（2013）年7月2日（火曜）、ローザンヌ市に出張中の猪瀬知事は、IOCテクニカルブリーフィングでのプレゼンテーションに向けて、公式リハーサルを行いました。
公式リハーサルを終えた知事は、記者団の質問に対し「とてもいい感じでリハーサルを終えました。すごく良いチームワークになっていると思います。明日のプレゼンテーションでは、東京の魅力を本当に分かっていただければ2020年オリンピック・パラリンピックは確実に来るだろうと思っています。また、そのあと質疑応答もあります。いろんな疑問を持っていただくことは、ありがたいことです。その疑問に答えると、より詳しくプレゼンテーションの中身を深めることができる。IOC委員の皆さんに、疑問を持っていただくということが大事なんです。」と話しました。
また、プレゼンテーションに向けた意気込みを問われると、「最後は9月7日のブエノスアイレスですが、7月3日のローザンヌは招致実現への方向性を勝ち取る大きなチャンスです。そのために全力で臨みたいと思っています。」と決意を語りました。
いよいよ明日がプレゼンテーション本番です。
On Tuesday, July 2, Governor Inose took part in an official rehearsal in Lausanne, Switzerland, for the 2020 Candidate Cities Briefing for International Olympic Committee (IOC) Members.
Following the rehearsal, the governor responded to questions from the press, saying, “The rehearsal ended very positively. I think that we have established a high level of teamwork. At tomorrow’s presentation, if we are able to successfully convey the attractions of Tokyo to the IOC members, then I believe that Tokyo will certainly be awarded the honor of hosting the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In addition, a question and answer session will follow the presentation. It would please me if the audience presents us with a variety of questions. By answering these questions, we can go even deeper into the contents of the presentation. As such, it is very important that our presentation spark their interest.”
When asked about his level of enthusiasm going into the presentation, the governor spoke of his determination, commenting, “The final presentation will be given on September 7 in Buenos Aires. However, the presentation here in Lausanne on July 3 is a huge opportunity for us to win over momentum for Tokyo’s bid. In order to do so, I want to give it my all.”
The governor and other members of Tokyo’s delegation look forward to the actual briefing, which will be held tomorrow.
