Governor promoted Tokyo’s bid to the IOC members in Lausanne
平成25（2013）年7月4日（木曜）猪瀬知事は、ローザンヌ・パレス・ホテルに設置した2020オリンピック・パラリンピック 東京招致のブースにおいて、IOC委員に競技施設の内容や魅力をアピールしました。
知事は、ブースを離れる際に、記者団に対して「今日は3分の2の委員に来ていただいて、握手のときにエクセレントと言われました。このエクセレントは、プレゼンの内容と、チームワークなどいろんな意味で計画内容を理解したという言葉だと思います。イノベーションというのはテクノロジーだけでなくクリエイティビティがあって、東京には二つが同時にあって、その上で運営能力があると理解してもらえたと思います。」と感想を述べました。
On Thursday, July 4, Governor Inose promoted Tokyo’s bid to host the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games to IOC members visiting the city’s presentation room at the Lausanne Palace Hotel, by introducing Tokyo’s competition venues and other attractions.
Before leaving the presentation room, the governor told the press that “Two-thirds of the IOC members visited our presentation room today, with many saying ‘Excellent’ when shaking hands with me. I think the word means that they understood various aspects of our Games plans, including the content of our presentation and our teamwork. ‘Innovation’ is a key point in our bid. This is innovation in creativity, as well as in technology. Tokyo has both. And on that foundation, we have the solid ability to deliver the Games. I think we were able to convey this clearly to them.”
