平成25年8月23日更新IOC総会へ向けての記者会見及び2020年東京オリンピック・パラリンピック招致出陣式
Press conference held prior to the upcoming IOC Session
平成25（2013）年9月7日（土曜）の2020年オリンピック・パラリンピック開催都市決定まで残すところあとわずか15日となりました。
8月23日（金曜）猪瀬知事は、アルゼンチン・ブエノスアイレスでのIOC総会へ向けての記者会見に臨みました。
知事は、「最後のプレゼンテーションでは、東京のもつ安全性、輸送システム、強固な財政力という側面を強調しながら、平和のトップリーダーである日本の存在感を示したい。オリンピック選手と同様に我々プレゼンターも日頃の鍛錬により大きな自信を持っています。そうした揺るぎない自信を謙虚に示したいと思っています。チーム日本は最高のチームワークで戦い抜こうとしています。メディアの皆様のご支援、国民の皆様のブエノスアイレスまで届くような声援を宜しくお願いします」と挨拶しました。
記者会見後、知事は2020年東京オリンピック・パラリンピック招致出陣式において、安倍内閣総理大臣をはじめ参加された多くの来賓を前に、これまでの招致活動に対する感謝と招致に向けた決意を述べました。
Only 15 days remain until Saturday, September 7, the day on which the host city for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be decided at the IOC Session in Buenos Aires.
Leading up to the host city selection, Governor Inose attended a press conference on Friday, August 23.
The governor greeted those gathered, saying, “At the final presentation, while emphasizing aspects that include Tokyo’s overall level of safety, transport system, and solid financial strength, I want to show Japan’s presence as a nation that leads the world in peace. Just like the Olympic athletes, we, the presenters, also have a great sense of confidence achieved through a hard regimen of training. I hope to be able to express that unshakeable confidence in a modest way. With the highest level of teamwork, Japan’s team is working to fight through to the finish. I ask the media for continued support and all of the people of Japan to send cheers of support to Buenos Aires.”
After the press conference, the governor attended an official send-off ceremony for Tokyo’s delegation to the IOC Session. Before the many honored guests in attendance, including Japan’s Prime Minister Abe, the governor spoke of his gratitude for all of the efforts made in support of the bid, as well as his firm commitment to the bid.
