Press conference upon returning to Japan from the IOC Session
平成25年9月10日（火曜）猪瀬知事は、都民報告会に引き続いて都庁で開催されたIOC総会 帰国記者会見に出席しました。
知事は会見冒頭で、「今回の招致の成功は、皆さんの声援とともに、チームニッポンが素晴らしいチームワークで戦ったからで、招致の実現に大きな力をもたらしました。またライバル都市であった、イスタンブール、マドリ―ドと競い合うことによって質をお互いに高め合うことができました。これからいよいよ本格的な準備態勢に入ります。我々は、平和のトップリーダーとして、オールジャパン体制で2020年を最高の大会に仕上げていかなければなりません。今後とも皆さんのご支援をよろしくお願いいたします。」と話しました。
On Tuesday, September 10, following the celebration of Tokyo’s successful bid for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Governor Inose took part in his first press conference since returning from the IOC Session at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
At the opening of the conference, the governor said, “The success of this bid was due to everyone’s support, along with the fact that ‘Team Japan’ fought with superb teamwork, bringing an enormous amount of energy to our efforts to win the bid. In addition, the process of competing with our rival cities of Istanbul and Madrid was mutually beneficial, as it enabled each of us to raise the quality of our respective bids. From this point on, we will enter the real preparation phase. As the top leader in ‘peace,’ and through united efforts nationwide, we must make the 2020 Games spectacular. I hope that everyone will continue to support us as we proceed forward.”
