Governor Inose attends the first day of the ANMC21 Plenary Meeting
平成25（2013）年11月18日（月曜）から19日（火曜）までの2日間、アジア大都市ネットワーク21総会（第12回）がハノイ市（ベトナム社会主義共和国）で開催されています。総会では、各都市に共通する課題について討議する政策対話や共同事業の実施状況や成果の報告、宣言文の採択を行います。
本日、18日（月曜）午前、猪瀬知事は総会の開会式で、「アジアの都市の発展成長の先には、大気汚染などの環境問題、無秩序な都市開発など様々な都市問題も出てきます。諸都市がより豊かな都市生活を楽しむ社会に生まれ変わっていくために、東京も貢献していきたいと考えています。後ほど、東京都の取組を紹介させていただきますが、みなさんの活発な議論を期待しています」と挨拶しました。
続いて、「都市計画〜その実践における共通する課題」及び「低炭素化・省エネルギー政策」をテーマに各都市代表者による政策対話が行われました。明日は、新規共同事業等の提案、ハノイ宣言の採択等が行われる予定です。
On Monday, November 18, the 12th Plenary Meeting of the Asian Network of Major Cities 21 (ANMC21) opened in Hanoi, Vietnam. The two-day meeting includes policy dialogues on challenges shared by member cities, reports on the progress and outcome of joint projects, and the adoption of a declaration.
At the opening ceremony on Monday morning, Governor Inose said that there are “many urban issues arising from development and growth [in Asia’s cities]. For instance, environmental issues such as air pollution and rampant urban development. Tokyo would like to help the other cities of Asia in their efforts to transform into societies that promise more satisfying urban life for their citizens. In the upcoming policy dialogue, Tokyo will introduce its initiatives. I look forward to a lively discussion.”
Following the ceremony, representatives from the member cities engaged in policy dialogues on “Urban Planning: Common issues in the implementation of present urban planning” and “Urban Energy Policy in Asia.” On Tuesday, a new joint project and other matters are scheduled to be proposed and the Hanoi Declaration to be adopted.
