Germany's ambassador visits the governor

On Friday, October 17, H.E. Dr. Hans Carl von Werthern, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Japan, paid a courtesy call on Governor Masuzoe.

At the meeting, the governor said, "Since it is the 20th anniversary of the friendship city agreement between Tokyo and Berlin, I have been invited to visit Berlin by the mayor and will make the trip at the end of October. This spring, we held an event featuring Mori Ogai (a Japanese novelist who studied in Germany). By promoting exchanges in a wide range of areas, we hope to further deepen our friendly and cooperative relationship with Berlin. Tokyo will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2020, and we look forward to welcoming many visitors from Germany."
