U.S. ambassador to Japan visits the governor

On Tuesday, December 16, H.E. Ms. Caroline Kennedy, U.S. Ambassador to Japan paid a courtesy call on Governor Masuzoe.

At the meeting, topics such as the history of reciprocal exchange between Tokyo and the United States, including the gift of cherry blossom trees in 1912 to Washington D.C. by the then City of Tokyo, and 100 years later, the gift of dogwood trees to Tokyo by the United States in 2012, the 55th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Tokyo and New York City which will be celebrated next year, and support for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games were discussed.
