On Wednesday, June 3, Tetsuya Bessho, president of Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2015, paid a courtesy call on Governor Masuzoe.

One of the largest international short film festivals in Asia, Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2015 runs from Thursday, June 4, through Monday, June 15, screening about 200 films selected from some 5,000 films submitted from more than 100 countries and regions around the world.

At the meeting, the two exchanged opinions on the promotion of tourism and cultural activities in the run-up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2020. The governor said, “In the eyes of these talented people, Tokyo probably has a lot of charms that we have never noticed before. I hope they will introduce such aspects of Tokyo to the rest of the world.”
