Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Japan visits the governor

On Wednesday, September 9, Governor Masuzoe met with H. E. Dr. Reza Nazar Ahari, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Japan, when he visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

Among other things, they discussed enhancing exchange through sports, collaborating to solve the various challenges facing cities, and strengthening disaster preparedness. As part of efforts to cultivate a better understanding of differences in food culture, the governor suggested putting together a section on halal cuisine at the Taste of Tokyo festival, to be held in October.
