Governor speaks at a meeting with top senior officials

On Friday, January 15, Governor Masuzoe attended a meeting with the highest senior officials of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, following the preparation of bills for the fiscal 2016 budget, the TMG organization and approved number of positions.

The Governor said that the new budget is the starting point for shaping the Tokyo of the future, which will be the fundamental work of his second two years in office. He voiced the need to explain and debate the budget thoroughly during deliberations at the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly from next month. He expressed his ongoing aim to work energetically to make Tokyo the No. 1 city in the world, and to earn the cooperation of the citizens of Tokyo and the rest of Japan in realizing that goal.
