6. The Duke of Cambridge's visit to Tokyo

At the request of the British government, we will entertain the Duke of Cambridge next week on the 26th during his scheduled visit to Japan. This is truly a great honor. We are making thorough preparations to ensure that the Duke, who is making his first visit to Japan, is able to fully enjoy the attractions of this city, where tradition and innovation coexist, and take home a wonderful impression of Tokyo and Japan.

On behalf of the people of Tokyo, and along with the members of the Metropolitan Assembly, I will firmly convey our welcome. At the same time, I hope to receive support for the Tokyo 2020 Games by the royal family of Great Britain, the country that made the 2012 Games such a success.
