Tokyo Tap Water Quality Inspection
Bureau of Waterworks to visit the home of every customer!

The Bureau of Waterworks is currently conducting the Tokyo Tap Water Quality Check. Inspectors will be sent directly to each customer’s home to deepen understanding of Bureau of Waterworks efforts, demonstrate the high quality of Tokyo’s tap water, and gain a better understanding of the needs of customers. The quality check is FREE of charge.

Visits will be made to all 7.5 million homes

Starting November 17, 2015 through the end of March 2020, quality checks will be conducted for every water customer in the Tokyo Metropolitan water supply district.*

*Excludes large-scale users, public facilities, etc.

Confirming water quality with the customer

We will conduct a water quality check and confirm with the customer that their water is safe, high-quality, and delicious.

We will inquire about your needs through a customer survey. For those who wish, we will introduce the main initiatives of the Bureau of Waterworks (in Japanese only).
