The International Water Association World Water Congress and Exhibition

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is pleased to announce that the International Water Association (IWA) World Water Congress and Exhibition will be held in Tokyo in September as follows.

The IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition brings together water professionals in industry, academia and government from across the world to share knowledge on the latest trends and cutting-edge technologies to solve the water issues we face around the globe. This will be the first IWA World Water Congress hosted in Japan.

At the Congress, Tokyo will proudly showcase world-class waterworks and sewerage technologies and initiatives the city has long fostered, as well as promote both domestically and worldwide the appeal of Tokyo as the host city of the 2019 Rugby World Cup and Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.

Registration

Registration will be on the day at the venue.

Keynote speech by Yuriko Koike, Governor of Tokyo is scheduled (on Monday, 17 September, from 9:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. in the International Conference Room on the 7th floor)
The title of her speech is “For a Sustainable Urban Water Cycle”.
*Delegate registration is required for attendance.
