Collection of small electronic devices for the Tokyo 2020 Medal Project to close on 31 March

The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games announced its decision to end the collection of small electronic devices for the Tokyo 2020 Medal Project as of Sunday 31 March 2019 due to prospects that the amount of metal needed to manufacture medals can be secured. The Medal Project: Towards an Innovative Future for All was launched in April 2017.

In line with the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee’s decision, collection at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) buildings and TMG-managed facilities will end as of 31 March.
