Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Torch Relay
Now Recruiting Paralympic Torchbearers to Run in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area!

We are pleased to announce that recruitment for Paralympic torchbearers for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Torch Relay began on Monday 16 December. In the Paralympic Torch Relay, groups of 3 torchbearers who are meeting for the first time will run together. We look forward greatly to receiving many applications on this occasion.

4.How to apply

Fill out and submit the application form on Tokyo Metropolitan Torchbearer Application Requirements special website. Alternatively, fill in the prescribed application form provided by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government etc., and post it to the address below.
You may apply for yourself or on behalf of someone else.

(5) Announcement of Nomination

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Torch Relay Task Force will notify you of the results of the selection from May 2020. Following this, the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee will send a formal notice to selected applicants. Applicants who are not selected will not be notified.
Further details will be released regarding how the results of the selection process will be announced once that has been decided.
