Winners of the Asian Cities Photo Contest 2019 “My Favorite Sunset Scenes of Asian Cities” announced!

The Council of Promotion for Tourism in Asia* (CPTA) has been operating the “Welcome to Asia” campaign with the aim of attracting visitors from Europe, America and Oceania and increasing interaction within Asia.
We are pleased to announce the winners of the Asian Cities Photo Contest 2019, a project delivered as part of the campaign.

*The CPTA is an organization that promotes the Welcome to Asia campaign.
It facilitates the mutual exchange of information and the development of tourism networks, and works to attract visitors from North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania through linking its 10 member cities.

1. Theme

“My Favorite Sunset Scenes of Asian Cities”
“Asian Cities” refers to the ten member cities of the CPTA.

2. Submission period

Thursday 23 May to Wednesday 31 July 2019

3. Selection process

Each member city selects five photos, with a total of 50 winning photos.
From the winning photos, each member city selects one to receive the “best photo” award, resulting in ten “best photo” winners.

4. Winning photos

The winning photos can be seen on the Welcome to Asia website (External link) (available in English only)

5. Prizes

Winners of the “best photo” award will receive a canvas print of their prize-winning photo and a special prize chosen by each member city.
Winners of the excellence award will receive a canvas print of their prize-winning photo.
