Multilingual domestic violence consultation service launched with support in five languages

Tokyo Women’s Plaza has launched a consultation service for people suffering from domestic violence by their spouse or partner. The service was launched on a trial basis on April 21, and is offered in five languages (English, Chinese, Korean, Thai and Tagalog).

Opening hours

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. (excluding public holidays and between December 29 and January 3)

At times other than the above, please call with the help of someone who speaks Japanese.

Implementation period: April 21 to March 30, 2021

How to receive consultation

Please call the Tokyo Women’s Plaza helpline at 03-5467-2455.
You will be connected to a counselor and an interpreter, who will assist you.

Please note that appointments are not needed.

  • The helpline is available for people who live, work or study in Tokyo.
  • Consultation services are free of charge, but telephone charges are payable by the caller.
