Release of Videos to Raise Awareness about Flood and Storm Damage

Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has released two videos on Tokyo Douga, YouTube, and the TMG Disaster Preparedness Homepage to help Tokyo residents better understand the damage that can be caused by storms and flooding.

1 Tokyo My Timeline Creation Navigator

This video will teach you everything from basic information about flood and storm damage to how to create your “Timeline”

2 Tokyo Virtual Hazard – Flood and Storm Damage

A VR video that teaches you what to do during a disaster and gives you an experience of the threat flood and storm damage pose.

  • Covers disasters including landslides and flooding (from rivers overflowing and from high waves)
  • Experience the above disasters in VR, and learn what to do if they happen
  • Also available in English and with Japanese subtitles
