Opening of Tokyo International Cruise Terminal

Tokyo International Cruise Terminal, which had previously postponed its opening, will now be opened to the public. The terminal will open as follows, with the hope that the public will enjoy the use of its facilities.

1 Facility name

Tokyo International Cruise Terminal (2-chome Aomi Chisaki, Koto-ku, Tokyo)

2 Opening date (for the general public)

  • Date: September 10, 2020
  • Opening times: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

  • Prior to the opening, Governor Koike inspected the facility on Wednesday, August 26.
  • The cruise ship Nipponmaru (Operator: Mitsui O.S.K. Passenger Line Ltd.; Port of registry: Port of Tokyo) is planned to be docked at the terminal during the opening.

※Visitors are requested to please wear a mask and cooperate with disease control measures such as temperature checks.

3 Outlook on cruise ships docking in Tokyo in the near future

The situation is not yet concrete. However, as various Japanese ship operators are considering recommencing operations with thorough precautions taken to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, it is possible that cruise ships registered in Japan (on domestic journeys only) will dock in Tokyo in the future.
