Civic Creative Base Tokyo (CCBT) Announces the Selection of 5 Artist Fellow Groups

Civic Creative Base Tokyo (CCBT) is pleased to announce that the five Artist Fellows groups for FY2023 have been selected following a screening process of more than 100 applications. These groups will work together as partners with Tokyo Metropolitan Government and CCBT to create artistic expression, creative exploration and positive action to change Tokyo into a better city through creativity and technology.

Tracing the Landscape That AI Beheld: An Artificial Intelligence Travelogue

Summary:

Human walkers trace AI-generated walking routes and diaries,examining and re-thinking the nature of our experiences

About the Artist Fellowship Program

Outline

  • This program is a system for publicly recruiting projects from artists who will work as partners with CCBT
  • Fellows who are selected based on a review of their submitted proposal will be involved in various creative activities in addition to CCBT held activities such as teaching planning and lecturing activities

Support

  • Production cost support (up to 10 million JPY)
  • Providing opportunities for advice and technical assistance from a variety of experts including mentors and others

About CCBT

First brought to life in October 2022 in Shibuya, CCBT is a hub where the public can explore their creative imaginations in society (civic creativity) through the use of art and digital technology. Centering on a creative lab and studios, CCBT is a flexible venue capable of hosting workshops, symposiums, lectures, and more to serve as an engine for creativity.
