As we announced in October 2023, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been promoting efforts to pass on the excitement and memories of the Tokyo 2020 Games to future generations by placing route markers （distance markers） on the Tokyo metropolitan roads where the Olympic cycling road race was held, so that cyclists and others will recognize the course as a legacy of the Games.
We are pleased to announce that route markers have been placed on 24 metropolitan roads and at Musashinonomori Park （Fuchu City, Chofu City, and Mitaka City）, the starting point of the Olympic cycling road race.
(Left and center) Musashinonomori Park, the starting point. (Right) 1km point on the metropolitan road.
To help you enjoy cycling by following the route markers, we have created the attached Route Marker Guide Map(PDF:8,144KB).
When riding a bicycle, be sure to wear a helmet, follow the traffic rules, and enjoy a safe ride!
