TOKYO FORWARD 2025 “1 Year To Go to the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25!” Announced details including stage programs

September 13 (Fri.) and 14 (Sat.), 2024 at Tokyo Dome City LaQua Full of stage programs with gorgeous guests and events that will make you feel so amazing in track and field athletes!

TOKYO FORWARD 2025 “1 Year To Go to the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25!” will be held on September 13 (Fri.) and 14 (Sat.), 2024
On the stage, a variety of programs will be prepared, including ceremony of the one-year before for the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 (WCH Tokyo 25) by gorgeous guests. Also, there will be a booth where you can actually touch and feel the competition equipment, a booth where you can try the standing long jump, and a special exhibition where you can experience various world records using AR.
In addition, a pre-event for a cultural program themed on “festivals” to be held in 2025 will be held, with performances that will allow you to experience the charms of the festival to liven up the one-year before the Championships!
Furthermore, there will be a stamp rally, a festival, and many other activities for children to enjoy. Anyone is welcome to participate, so please feel free to come and join us.

1 Year To Go to the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25! Ceremony

11:00a.m.-11:30a.m.
The ceremony to celebrate the one-year before the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25. We will invite Kentaro Sato (6th place finish in Men’s 4×400m Relay at Paris 2024 Olympics, new Asian record), Asuka Terada (participated in Women's 100m Hurdles at Tokyo 2020 Olympics and former Japanese record holder), Nobuharu Asahara, Mio Okada (Deaf Track and Field) as guests to talk about their expectations and highlights for next year's World Athletics Championships.

Cool evening Talk show: Asahara×Mogi’s “Running Brain Science”

A talk show featuring the legend of World Athletics Championships Nobuharu Asahara and a neuroscientist Kenichiro Mogi, discussing the health benefits of running and its impact from a brain science perspective, with members of the track and field club of Josai University Incorporated Senior High School. What results will occur between these two people from such different fields?

In 2025, when the World Athletics Championships and Deaflympics will be held, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government will hold three art projects with the aim of promoting the attractive of Tokyo's arts and culture and realizing an inclusive society! In September 2025, when the “WCH Tokyo 25” will be held, a performance event themed on Tokyo's “festival” is planned.
As a pre-event for this event, we will deliver a stage performance that will allow visitors to experience the charm of the festival and get excited one year before the event!
