Protecting Children in the Community While Working
“Nagara Mimamori” Collaboration Project

Have you ever seen a sticker somewhere with a piercing gaze like the eyes of a kabuki actor?
There is a project called “Nagara Mimamori” where these stickers are placed on company vehicles that go around communities and protect children and the elderly while doing their daily business activities. Current partners include convenience stores, credit unions, taxis, insurance companies and delivery companies, and the number of watchful eyes is increasing every year.

Hirano Eiji, General Manager of the Operations, Direct Selling Group at the Tokyo Regional Office of Duskin, which joined the project this year, said, “We will put stickers on about 1,800 vehicles and bicycles and watch over communities. We are planning to ensure that our employees are aware of the importance of watching over communities as part of our regular training programs.”
Fujiwara Tomoko, who is in charge of safe and secure urban development at the General Promotion Department of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Office for Promotion of Citizen Safety, said, “The stickers placed on vehicles announce to residents that they are being watched over while driving. I believe it is important to have many people in the community keeping a watchful eye in order to prevent crime and accidents. There are many other companies in Tokyo that move around in vehicles, so I would like to continue encouraging them to cooperate.”
