日本橋川沿いに生まれる、歩いて楽しい水辺や周辺の空間の「呼称・愛称」の決定について
都では、日本橋川周辺のにぎわい創出に向け、沿川の歴史文化や、江戸東京文化の浸透、魅力の向上、地域の活性化を図るため、インバウンドを含む多くの人に親しまれる「呼称・愛称」について検討を進めてきました。
このたび、令和8年4月28日から5月28日までの1か月間の募集で寄せられた793件の応募を踏まえ、下記のとおり決定しました。
今後は、周辺でのイベントや情報発信等において活用し、日本橋川周辺のさらなる魅力発信につなげてまいります。

「東京水回廊（みずかいろう）」
日本橋川と周辺のまちへ広がる通り道などを、水辺とまちをつなぐ回廊として捉え、歴史、まち、水、緑など地域の多様な魅力が連なり、めぐり歩くことで水辺を身近に感じられる空間を表しています。
「TOKYO Water Corridor」
“TOKYO Water Corridor” is a vast, interconnected network of side streets and pathways branching out from the Nihonbashi River. By exploring these “corridors” that link the riverfront to surrounding neighborhoods, people can appreciate the appeal of the local history, communities, greenery, and other defining features of the area. This illustrates ongoing efforts aimed at creating an urban environment in the heart of Tokyo where people can feel closely connected to water.
